I was born in Panama City and moved to the US at a young age. I can still recall my first day of pre-k and not knowing how to speak English. I knew I was different from those around me, while also trying to figure out how I could fit in with the rest. Since most of my family continued to live in Panama City, I had the opportunity to spend half of my childhood in Panama and half living in Miami, FL. I grew up being connected to two completely different worlds, which in turn, gave me a bicultural perspective.
My passion for psychology started while I was in high school. I came across a book that completely fascinated me called Many Lives Many Masters. I quickly became immersed in the idea of helping people through therapy. After this, I was inspired to become a psychologist, and have dedicated many years to my profession. In this path, I have found much joy and compassion for the lives of those that I have had the privilege of knowing.
